After having spent ten years with OTIS, the world leader in the lift and escalator industry, I am now looking to relaunch my professionnal career with the clearly defined aim of seeking a new experience which would allow me to create and develop a lasting relationship with my new partners.

Commercial Experience :

The past ten years have brought me invaluable experience in the commercial domain. In particular, the following points can be highlighted :

- My commercial activity covered many varied fields such as estate agency, industry, hospitals, the hotel industry, administration and Council Housing Projects. Consequently, this variation in my commercial activity allowed me to gain a good understanding of the economic make-up of the department of Finistère.

- In 1999, and 2000, I took care of the direct follow-up of two major accounts : The nuclear power station of Flamanville and the nuclear reprocessing plant at COGEMA La Hague. This follow-up involved short, middle and long term action plans, with the writing-up of a dossier of specific requirements, bilateral engagements and the definition of the different milestones necessary for the work in progress.

- OTIS guarantees the continual training of all employees, and I personally benefited from specialised training programs given by external experts on sales techniques, and commercial organisation, amongst many others

Management and Personnel :

- During my time with OTIS, I have gained significant managerial experience, in particular through my position as branch manager in Brest and also in Caen (where the team was made up of 46 employees).

- I participated in the development (both individually and within work-groups), introduction and application of action plans specifically adapted to each setback which had been identified.

- In Caen, Throughout the year 2000, I took part in the definition of the new organisational set-up concerning the legislation on the 35 hour working week (AUBRY Law). I led negociations with the teams, introduced and applied the new set-up. In our domain, this law essentially affected the technical side, and the organisation of break-down and call-out duties.

Site Experience :

In the lift Industry, and especially as far as OTIS is concerned, the sales representative is closely linked to the equipment he or she has sold. In fact, the representative is responsible up until the final delivery to the customer.

- In sales of services ( Minor repair, or major modernisation work ) this means that the representative visits the sites when necessary in order to verify that the product which has been sold conforms with the work in progress, and if this is not the case, to take the action necessary to correct the situation.

- In Sales of new equipment, this responsability is a daily reality. The sales representative is present with the site supervisor if necessary, at site meetings to make sure that the operation runs smoothly, and to assure the cooperation with the other teams involved such as builders, electricians, roofers, locksmiths, etc. The representative must also follow the dispatch of the plans and make sure they are kept up to date.

- In existing buildings, the lift business becomes a complex speciality, since the introduction of new lifts into old buildings necessitates an understanding and taking on board of many different parameters - the structure of the building, the height of existing roofing, basements, the nature of partition walls, and doorframes and the regulations already in place.

Additional Information :

- In 1999, in Caen, I realised the integration of the branch with the teams of a sister company which has now become part of OTIS ( these teams represented approximately 25 % of our existing personnel ). This process involved the integration of personnel, the taking over of customers, contracts and the upkeep of invoicing.

- In 2000, I was reponsible for the relocation of the Caen branch which had been in the pipeline for many years. This project involved finding suitable offices and the negociation of the entire affair.

- Over the last five years, I have frequently undertaken the training of new sales representatives joining the company.

- As branch manager, I was also responsible for guaranteeing the application of quality control regulations for all commercial dossiers as well as for site dossiers, documentation and archives.
